About Me

I have 25 years of coaching experience in both youth soccer and baseball and over the course of my 25 years of coaching, I noticed a marked shift in the way youth sports were conducted.  They have gone from children playing different sports-year-round for execrice, fun and to be with their friends, to children specializing in a single sport at younger and younger ages along with travel and pay-for-play teams starting to take over the youth sports arena.  In addition to my coaching experience, I have over 15 years of experience as a Board member of our local youth soccer association and in that role, I was part of a group of dedicated volunteers who worked to ensure that the children playing in our league had a positive experience.

           

In addition, I have over 25 years of experience working in State government, the last 20 year in supervisory and managerial positions.  That work experience gave me insight in dealing with diverse groups, large and small, to develop plans and implement procedures.

           

In addition to my coaching and work experience I have a BA from East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania and a Master’s Degree from Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey.
